Wardrobe exposure

From the perspective of housing and home, if "furniture" is compared to "milk powder", then the "plate" used by furniture factories is "milk source". Inferior milk sources directly lead to "problem milk powder", and inferior quality boards will also directly contribute to "problem furniture". "Problem furniture" is no less harmful to consumers than "problem milk powder", especially for the elderly and children, it is even more severe, but this kind of harm is hidden, long-term, It is not easy to detect, so it has been ignored for a long time. However, if this kind of harm erupts directly, the consequences will be unimaginable. Therefore, the quality of the board directly affects the quality and environmental performance of furniture products.

Industry unspoken rules

The wardrobe industry often talks about the level of plates, such as E0 level and E1 level plates. The so-called E0 grade plate, that is, the European standard formaldehyde content is less than 0.3mg / ML, the so-called E1 grade plate, which is the European standard formaldehyde content is less than 0.8mg / ML, and the current nationally recognized formaldehyde emission standard for formaldehyde content is less than 1.5mg / ML .

At present, various brands in the furniture market are advocating that their products use E1 grade plates, which have high environmental performance. However, according to industry insiders, only a few of them actually use E1 grade plates. Some brands are simply short of cheques, believing that consumers will not really use it for environmental protection testing, so they are brazen and bragging. In addition, there are some manufacturers. Their plates are indeed E1 grade plates, but they are not true E1 grades. Instead, they use E2 grade plates, which can only reach E1 grade after being treated with formaldehyde elimination. But in fact its harm is still there. If these plates reach the consumers' homes, they will be no less harmful than the dairy industry in the early stage, and become a hidden health risk.

Substrate introduction

At present, the base materials used in the wardrobe industry are mainly solid wood particle board and medium density fiberboard (ie, MDF). The solid wood particle board is made of wood after crushing and pressing. The interior is a fiber shape, which is still a solid wood component, so the nail holding force and bending resistance are relatively strong, and because of the relatively small amount of glue used in its production process, the environmental protection degree Relatively high. The MDF is made by grinding wood chips into powder and pressing with mixed glue, which contains more impurities inside, so the nail holding force and bending resistance are poor, and it uses a lot of glue in the synthesis process, and the environmental protection is also poor. . However, the MDF has relatively strong compression resistance.

However, what determines the quality of the board is not whether it uses MDF or solid wood particle board, but rather the origin and quality of the same board. In terms of the origin of the board, poplar and linden wood are mainly produced in the north of China. This kind of board is relatively light and the hardness is not good enough, while the south is mainly produced by miscellaneous wood. In terms of quality level, the plates produced by different plate manufacturers are different due to the purchase of raw materials, the weight of the press, the use of glue and the production process. Even if the same manufacturer, there will be different A, B, C, D Grade sheet products. Therefore, the really good boards are the excellent A-grade boards produced by large-scale board manufacturers, using advanced production equipment, selecting high-density hardwood raw materials, and imported adhesives. However, such professional knowledge cannot be seen by ordinary consumers, and even professionals in the industry cannot be identified with the naked eye, and must be identified through professional inspection.

These substrates are used for furniture production, and are also divided into different veneers, such as crepe paper, gorgeous paper, melamine, PVC, solid wood leather, etc. The melamine surface is the most used in the furniture industry . Comparatively speaking, affixed with styrofoam and gorgeous paper, because of the need to apply a layer of paint-like things, environmental protection is poor, less used in the industry; melamine and PVC paste, need to undergo high temperature and high pressure procedures, the most environmentally friendly, most Scratch resistance, the most commonly used in the industry; on the one hand, the cost of solid wood is higher, on the other hand, its environmental protection is also affected by the quality of paint and thinner, and it is also less used in the industry.

In addition to the above boards, plywood, large core boards and pure solid wood boards are sometimes used in furniture production. Large core board and plywood are convenient for manual processing, so they are mostly used for decoration on-site production, but because of their rough process and poor environmental performance; pure solid wood board is used for relatively top-level furniture, and its cost is quite expensive, but the board itself is basically not It releases formaldehyde, so it has high environmental performance and is favored by high-end consumers. In addition, the environmental protection performance of pure solid wood furniture is also affected by the quality of paint and thinner. If solid wood furniture is imported environmentally friendly paint and thinner, there will be basically no free formaldehyde released, so it is very environmentally friendly and healthy.
