Its toughness is acceptable, and its strength and wear resistance are higher than T7-T9. Still, it has lower hot hardness and relatively low hardenability, leading to greater quenching deformation.
Application Scope:
This steel is widely used for manufacturing various cutting tools such as turning tools, planers, drills, taps, reamers, screw dies, milling saws, and saw blades. It is suitable for tools that operate under poor cutting conditions, requiring high wear resistance and minimal impact or vibration.
