In this system, cold water is cooled in the evaporator by low-temperature refrigerant water that has undergone pressure reduction and throttling from the condenser. As the cold water absorbs heat, it evaporates into refrigerant vapor, which then moves to the absorber. There, it is absorbed by a concentrated solution, turning it into a diluted solution. The diluted solution is then pumped through a heat exchanger and a heat recovery unit, where it gains temperature before entering the regenerator. Inside the regenerator, the dilute solution is heated and transformed back into a concentrated solution.
The concentrated solution then flows through the heat exchanger, where it cools down before being sent back to the absorber. Once there, it drips over the cooling water pipes, absorbing the refrigerant vapor coming from the evaporator and becoming a diluted solution again. Meanwhile, in the regenerator, high-temperature water from an external source heats the lithium bromide solution, causing it to release water vapor. This vapor is then cooled in the condenser, reduced in pressure through throttling, and becomes low-temperature refrigerant water. This refrigerant water is directed back into the evaporator, where it drips onto the cold water pipes and further cools the incoming cold water.
The system features two sets of regenerators, condensers, evaporators, absorbers, heat exchangers, solution pumps, and heat recovery units. These components are connected in series using both heat source water and cold water, creating a fully integrated system. By optimizing the distribution of solution flow and cooling capacity between the high-temperature and low-temperature sides, the system achieves ideal configurations for temperature, pressure, and concentration across the two cycles. This allows for maximum utilization of the heat from the heat source, enabling the hot water temperature to be reduced to as low as 66°C.
This entire process repeats continuously, ultimately achieving the goal of producing low-temperature cold water efficiently and effectively.
