The principle of the liquid level sensor

A liquid level sensor includes a float (1), a magnet (2), a bracket (3), a linear Hall effect sensor (4), and an amplifying circuit. The Hall element sensor is positioned at the top of the bracket, while the magnet is placed below it and is connected to the float. The output from the Hall sensor is transmitted to a display meter through the amplifying circuit. This design ensures that the sensor provides a highly linear output, offering high measurement accuracy and resolution, making it ideal for precise liquid level monitoring applications.

The magnetostrictive liquid level sensor consists of a transmitter, a sensor, and a float. Inside the transmitter housing (3), there is a circuit board bracket (8), a circuit board (22), an insulating board (28), and an upper end damping component. The damping plate (29), upper end damping (16), and circuit board bracket (8) are fixed together. A steel wire (15) passes through the middle of the upper end damping (16) and is pressed against a piezoelectric ceramic (17). The piezoelectric ceramic is connected to the circuit board via a lead wire. The outer tube (6) of the sensor contains an aluminum groove (7), through which the electric pulse circuit lead (19) connects to the circuit board. The outer tube also features an insulating sleeve (12), a lower end damping (18), a steel string tensioning spring (11), and a steel string fixing shaft (10). A float (23, 27) slides within the sensor’s outer tube, ensuring smooth and accurate movement. This design offers advantages such as simple manufacturing, high production efficiency, stable performance, low cost, and improved product competitiveness.

The upper end of the sensor’s outer tube (6) is sealed by a sealing mechanism (5) and a sealing ring (14), which connects it to the lower part of the transmitter housing. The outer tube has an aluminum groove (7) that allows the electric pulse circuit lead (19) to pass through and connect to the circuit board. At the lower end, the outer tube (6) includes an insulating sleeve (12), a lower end damping (18), a steel string tensioning spring (11), and a steel string fixing shaft (10). The steel string (15) is connected from the lower end of the damping (18) to the lower end of the steel string fixing shaft (10). A float ring (13) is fixed at the bottom of the outer tube, and the floats (23, 27) slide inside the outer tube, ensuring accurate and reliable level detection.
