Analysis of the constraints of the development of the paint industry

Analysis of the constraints of the development of the paint industry The Chinese paint industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years, yet challenges remain in achieving balanced integration between coatings and painting processes. A common saying within the industry is “seven parts construction, three parts coating,” which highlights the critical role of coating in overall performance. Coatings are not just about aesthetics—they play a vital role in protection, such as anti-corrosion, anti-fouling, and mold resistance. For these properties to be fully realized, there must be close collaboration between paint manufacturers and coating application companies. As a result, the demand for integrated solutions between paints and coatings is growing steadily, creating opportunities for mutual benefit across the supply chain. Despite the fast-paced development, several key factors continue to hinder the progress of the paint industry. Although China’s paint sector started later than some global counterparts, it has made significant strides in adopting eco-friendly, water-based technologies and innovative products. However, the mismatch between paint innovation and coating application technology remains a major obstacle. This gap limits the full potential of new products and slows down industry advancement. One of the main issues is the lack of communication between paint manufacturers and downstream coating companies. Historically, paint producers focused primarily on improving product performance without considering real-world application needs. Meanwhile, coating companies concentrated on refining their techniques but often lacked a deep understanding of the paint products they used. This disconnect leads to underutilization of coatings and inefficient results. Another challenge lies in the limitations of coating equipment and technology. Technology has long been a weak point in China’s paint industry, acting as a bottleneck for both manufacturers and end-users. Even with the introduction of advanced paint formulations, the absence of compatible equipment and high costs associated with upgrading infrastructure prevent widespread adoption. This creates a "cold market" situation, where innovation fails to translate into practical success, ultimately slowing down the entire industry's development. To overcome these challenges, stronger collaboration, better communication, and investment in technological upgrades are essential. Only through joint efforts can the paint and coating industries achieve sustainable and harmonious growth.

Steel Compression Double Seal Crimp Flange Fittings

The crimped thread joint is composed of an inner metal ring, the root of turnup flange, an union, and positive and negative threaded sleeves; the connection type is divided into union connection and positive and negative threaded sleeve connection; reinforced steel wires or glass fibres are flipped 180 degrees at the root of the turnup flange.
