In some foreign mold manufacturers, high-speed machine tools have replaced EDM machines in large areas, and high-speed cutting production molds have gradually become a major trend in mold manufacturing.

Second, high-speed machining technology overview

High Speed ​​Cutting (HSC) is an advanced manufacturing technology that has risen rapidly in the last decade. High-speed cutting technology has high cutting efficiency, high processing quality, direct processing of hardened steel parts and good economics, which has significantly improved the production efficiency and manufacturing quality of the aviation, mold, automotive, light industry and information industries. Therefore, like CNC technology, high-speed cutting and high-speed machining have become a far-reaching technological revolution in the 21st century machinery manufacturing industry. 1. Key technologies for high-speed cutting machine tools

In order to adapt to rough finishing, light and heavy cutting and fast movement, while ensuring high precision (positioning accuracy ± 0.005mm), a machine with good performance is a key factor in achieving high-speed cutting. The key technologies are as follows:

(1) High speed spindle

The high-speed spindle is the core component of the high-speed cutting machine. With the continuous improvement of the spindle speed, the traditional gear-belt transmission system can not meet the requirements due to its own vibration and noise. It is replaced by a novel one. The functional part--electric spindle, which combines the spindle motor and the machine tool spindle into one, realizes the integration of the spindle motor and the machine tool spindle. The electric spindle adopts an electronic sensor to control the temperature. It has a water-cooled or oil-cooled circulation system to keep the spindle at a constant temperature during high-speed rotation. Generally, it can control a set temperature within the range of 20 °C~25 °C with an accuracy of ±0.7 °C. At the same time, new technologies such as oil mist lubrication and hybrid ceramic bearings are used to make the spindle maintenance-free, long-life and high-precision.

(2) High speed servo system

In order to achieve high-speed machining, the machine tool not only has a high-speed spindle, but also a high-speed servo system, which is not only to improve production efficiency, but also to maintain the normal operation of the tool in high-speed cutting, otherwise it will cause sharp wear and warming of the tool. , destroy the surface quality of the workpiece processing.
