The police in Shache County, Xinjiang attacked you and taught you how to deal with it

On the early morning of July 28, a severe violent terrorist attack took place in Shache County, Xinjiang. On that day, a group of extremists attacked the government office and police station in Ailixihu Town using knives and axes. Some of them then moved to the wasteland area, smashing and burning vehicles, attacking innocent civilians, and causing numerous casualties among both Uighur and Han people. At least one vehicle was destroyed, and six were set on fire. Security forces responded swiftly, neutralizing dozens of attackers in accordance with the law. According to preliminary investigations, this was a well-organized, premeditated, and highly planned terrorist act. Currently, local authorities are working hard to track down the perpetrators, provide medical care to the injured, and ensure the stability of public order in the region.

What should you do if you encounter a terrorist incident? Staying calm is the most important step. Panic can lead to poor decisions and increase the risk of harm. Here are some key steps to follow:

1. Stay Calm

In the face of terror, the first thing to do is to remain composed and keep your mind clear. Avoid panicking, as it can cloud your judgment and make it harder to make rational decisions.

2. Leave the Scene Immediately

Do not approach the danger out of curiosity. If possible, move away from the scene as quickly as you can. Your safety comes first.

3. Do Not Take Photos or Videos

Avoid taking pictures or videos at the scene, even if you're tempted to document the event. This could put you at risk and may interfere with ongoing investigations.

4. Stay Alert and Escape When Possible

Don’t freeze or stay in one place out of fear. Look for a safe place to hide, and wait for the right moment to escape once the danger has passed.

5. Never Confront the Attackers Directly

This is not the time to be a hero. Terrorists are often armed and prepared. Trying to fight back could put you in more danger than necessary.

6. Report the Incident After You Are Safe

Once you are in a safe location, call 110 immediately to report what you saw. Providing accurate information can help the police respond effectively and bring the perpetrators to justice.
