Single aluminum waste treatment method

The purpose of the pretreatment of the waste aluminum is to remove other metals and impurities contained in the waste aluminum, and to classify the waste aluminum according to its composition so as to maximize the utilization of the alloy components therein. Surface oils, oxides, and paints are disposed of. The final result of the pretreatment is to treat the scrap aluminum into charge that meets the furnace conditions, and to make the aluminum (aluminum oxide) in the aluminum-containing scrap the most economical and reasonable use.

Domestic waste aluminum pretreatment technology is still very simple and backward. Even in large-scale reclaimed aluminum plants, there is no advanced technology for the pretreatment of waste aluminum. From the current perspective, the following pretreatment techniques are mainly used.

Single species of waste aluminum

Spent aluminum, which is single or substantially free of other impurities, is generally not subjected to complicated pretreatment, but is sorted separately according to the type and composition of the waste. When a single type of scrap aluminum is used, only one component can be sampled to determine the composition of the batch. It is a high-quality recycled aluminum raw material and generally does not require any pretreatment to be smelted into the furnace. When smelting an aluminum alloy, , Can choose to use the corresponding composition and variety of waste aluminum directly into the reverberatory furnace smelting, and can be easily smelted into the corresponding grade of aluminum alloy. Some aluminum scraps containing high amounts of copper and zinc can also be used as intermediate alloys for adjusting components in the smelting process of aluminum alloys. In enterprises using small reverberatory furnaces or crucible furnaces, it is necessary to crush (shear or otherwise) large aluminum scraps as required to meet the furnace specifications. It is worth mentioning that some single types of scrap aluminum will mechanically entrain a small amount of non-aluminum metal, such as screws on scrap aluminum doors and windows, although the content is very small, but it will seriously affect the quality of the alloy, so before smelting Be sure to separate it.
