Check and acceptance after tile is very important

In the wall decoration, the tiles occupy an important position. Places like kitchens, bathrooms, balconies, etc., are the areas that use the most tiles. Therefore, if the quality problems caused by unqualified tiles construction will affect the final results of the entire renovation. After the tile is finished, it must be checked carefully.

First, see: tile color, specifications, etc.

After the tiles are laid, the first step of the inspection is to “see”. It is necessary to look at the specifications, colors, and grades of the tiles. The tiles must be solid, with no skew, missing corners and cracks. The surface should be smooth, clean, harmonious color, reasonable pattern arrangements, no discoloration, pan-alkali, stains and significant gloss damage. The brick joints are densely packed, straight, uniform in width and width, and uniform in color. The lap direction at the yin and yang corners is correct. Non-whole bricks are suitable for use and are arranged straight. The hole has the correct size and the edges are neat. Inspection flatness error is less than 2 mm, facade vertical error is less than 2 mm, seam height deviation is less than 0.5 mm, and flatness is less than 2 mm. Anything over the above range is unsatisfactory for the decoration quality.

The main reason for tile color change is not only the poor quality of the tiles, but also the lack of axial surface. The improper operation method is also an important factor. The materials should be strictly selected during construction, and clean water should be used for soaking the sleeve bricks. Paste cement mortar should use pure sand and cement. Always clean the remaining mortar on the brick surface during operation. If the color change larger wall tiles should be updated.

Tile joints are not straight due to differences in brick specifications and improper construction. The bricks should be carefully selected during construction and the same kind of dimensions should be used together for one wall. The standard points must be posted. The standard points must be on the basis of the ruler. After each line is pasted, it should be checked in a timely manner by using the ruler horizontally and vertically. If the joints exceed the allowable error, the wall tiles should be removed in time for rework.

Second, hand knock: Find out the tiles that have problems

Tong Tai, a home inspection division, told reporters that some decoration companies often mislead consumers with "a small amount of empty drums within the allowable range of quality." This is in fact contrary to regulations.

The main reasons for the falling of the tiles are that the bonding material is not full, the bricks are not soaked, and the base layer is not treated properly. During construction, the bricks on the sleeve must be clean and free from immersion for not less than 2 hours. The thickness of the adhesive should be controlled between 7 and 10 mm and should not be too thick or too thin. When sticking, it is necessary to make the tile and the bottom layer stick densely. You can tap it with a wooden hammer. When hollow drums are produced, the wall tiles shall be removed, the original bonded mortar shall be removed, and cement mortar shall be used to repair the total volume of 37 glue.

Third, splash water: check whether the water is smooth

Most of the tiles are related to water, so they have requirements for going to water and waterproofing. Tiled areas such as bathrooms and balconies are also required for drainage gradients. Check whether there are potholes on the floor of the bathroom, kitchen, and balcony, and whether the water is flowing smoothly or not, splashing a lot of water will know. This “process” can be put to the end. After all the other items have been tested, put the water on the water and spill it on the floor. Wait for a moment. The accumulation of water indicates where the floor tiles are uneven or go down the slope. Did not do enough.

The unevenness of the tile is mainly when the floor is not leveled, and the slope is not found well. Generally, as long as the tiles are opened, the ground fillers and the like under the water slope are properly repaired.
