Cable thermal repair operation and test details

1. Before the cable is repaired, use a megger to measure the insulation resistance of the core, and the resistance is not less than 10 MΩ. If not, dry the cable and repair it.

Second, the material used to repair the cable must be consistent with the material properties of the original cable. The natural rubber sheath is repaired with natural rubber; the neoprene sheath is repaired with neoprene. For shielded cables, the shield must be repaired with the appropriate semiconductive rubber or shield tape and metal textile screen mesh.

Third, the cable jacket cracked can be cut off, around the incision smashed, affixed to the corresponding length of feed, and use the appropriate repair material. The tape can be vulcanized by being tied to the first to second layers. When the crack is large or the insulation of the core wire is damaged, the entire sheath should be cut off, and then the core wire should be wrapped and then vulcanized with the corresponding material to wrap the sheath.

Fourth, the cable jacket before dressing should be tapered into tapered bevel. The length of the incline and the binding line for core wrap can be selected according to the following table according to the size of the core surface:

Fifth, the connection of the cable core wire needs to cut the core wire segmentally, cut the length and the core wire insulation stripping length to withstand the necessary mechanical tensile strength and easy to operate. Then cut the insulation of the incision into a 12mm long cone and clean the cone and a 20mm insulator. If there is a shielding layer, the 20mm shielding layer behind the cone should be stripped, and the semiconductor powder in the cone and its 20mm should be cleaned with carbon tetrachloride solution. Be careful when connecting.

6. Before the lashing welding, the black spots and oil stains at the joints should be cleaned, and the joints should be evenly crossed and closed together, and then tied with a binding line. There should be gaps in the middle of the joint to allow the tin to penetrate and the two ends to be tight. When welding, do not overheat the insulation. After welding, remove corners, strip old insulation, and wear protective glasses and gloves.

7. The core wire should be taped in half width with the corresponding tape of qualified width and thickness. The thickness of the package should not be less than 1.5-2.0mm. Each end should be 10mm longer than the joint. After the core wire is wrapped, the original rubber core is added. Put it in the middle, turn the angle according to the twist angle of the cable, and then use the sheathing tape with qualified width and thickness to wind from the end of the joint in half to the other end. The diameter should be 2-3mm larger than the original cable, and the force should be uniform when winding. , ensure that the cable is round and uniform thickness and thickness.

Eight, shielding repair:

1. If it is a rubber shielding layer, apply a semiconductive rubber patch like the core insulating layer. The process is the same as repairing the core.

2. If it is a shielding tape, use a shielding tape to overlap with a half-width overlap, and both ends of the shielding tape should be 10mm long and connected.

3. For the metal textile shielding layer, the two ends of the damaged layer of the shielding layer are firstly tied with copper wire, and then the damaged part is cut off. The shielded textile mesh is pressed into half the width of the shielding layer. Each end is shielded by approximately 40 mm of the original shielding layer, and both ends are of a diameter. 0.3mm thin copper wire can be placed behind the 5mm.
