Zhongjian Steel Structure Eliminates Residual Stress of Steel Plate Wall with New Technology

Recently, China Construction Steel Structure Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Construction Steel Structure) carried out the residual stress test of the steel plate wall on the Tianjin 117 project. The test used a new three-dimensional stress magnetic measurement method to measure the residual stress of the steel plate wall and adopt new The technique eliminates residual stresses.

During the welding process, the thermal stress, phase transformation stress, machining stress, etc. exceed the yield limit, so that the unwelded stress remains in the weldment after cooling. Thus, the macroscopic stress remaining in the weldment after the welding is cooled is called the residual welding stress. The residual stress is an unstable stress state. When the member is subjected to an external force, the interaction between the applied stress and the residual stress will cause some local plastic deformation, and the stress in the cross section will be redistributed, which can obviously affect the accuracy of the processed component. The stiffness of the structure will also decrease. In short, the presence of residual stress can pose a safety hazard to the building. The key technology of the CSC steel structure experiment is to analyze and eliminate the residual stress of the steel plate wall, which is the first in the steel structure construction.

Tianjin 117 Building has 117 floors above ground and 3 underground floors. The total height of the structure is 597 meters and the total construction area is 830,000 square meters. The structure is mega frame support + reinforced concrete core tube. The core tube of the 117 building is made of 70 mm thick steel plate shear wall. The weld of the steel plate wall is up to 14 meters. The welding length and welding process are leading domestically. It is reported that Zhongjian Steel Structure attaches great importance to the residual stress caused by controlling welding deformation and welding temperature difference in the welding process, and studies the residual stress existing in the welding process of steel plate wall, and analyzes the distribution of residual stress; The effective measures for controlling and eliminating the residual stress of welding are summarized, and a set of guiding methods for controlling and eliminating the residual stress in the welding of giant steel structures is formed. The experimental research results will propose unified technical measures for the elimination of residual stress in the steel plate shear wall welding of each construction unit, which has certain guiding significance; the test results will make the CMC system a market advantage, which is conducive to bidding on a larger scale. The project's research results are designed to be advanced, reasonable and convenient, and reach the international advanced level.
