Designer Wang Kaifeng uses two corridors that weave through the main buildings—study, tea room, and restaurant—creating a seamless flow of space. Beneath these corridors, a stream flows gently, linking the areas together. Additionally, the top of the corridor uses transparent acrylic instead of traditional wood, creating a sense of depth while maintaining a connection with the sky. This design reflects the ancient Chinese idea of "indoor and outdoor, outdoor and indoor," blending tradition with innovation. Even small details, like a few bamboo plants beside a wall, create a magical play of light and shadow, enhancing the overall atmosphere.

In this project, the glass dining room of the roof garden is embedded within a wooden pavilion structure, symbolizing this new direction. Technological advancements support the maintenance of plants, rocks, waterfalls, and even smoke effects. To reduce the load on the rooftop, artificial stone is created using a mix of cement and GRB, ensuring both beauty and practicality.
**Pool Water**
The pool is equipped with a circulation filtration system, eliminating the need for frequent water changes. Hidden beneath the pebbles, the water pipes blend seamlessly into the landscape, where pink lotus flowers, Bilian plants, and fish swim gracefully. Twice a day, waterfalls, fountains, and mist appear, creating a refreshing environment that benefits plant growth.
The garden's vegetation follows the principle of "four seasons of evergreen," offering vibrant colors throughout the year: green in spring, lotus in summer, red maple in autumn, and cypress in winter. Each season brings its own charm, whether sunny, rainy, or quiet, making every moment in the garden unique and memorable.
New Orientalism isn't just about symbols; it's about understanding the essence of Chinese culture and integrating it into modern design. As the designer explains, "To truly appreciate traditional symbols, we must understand the core of our culture and infuse it into our work, showing its depth while meeting functional needs."
