On September 26th, as one of the highlights of the 2011 China (Chengdu) New Energy International Summit and Solar Energy Exhibition, Sichuan Zhonghan Solar Power Co., Ltd., Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Sangle Digital Solar Energy Co., Ltd. Major projects were started in Chengdu Shuangliu New Energy Industry Function Zone. The project involves a variety of industrial categories such as concentrated photovoltaic, crystalline silicon photovoltaic, and solar thermal utilization, with a total investment of 18.1 billion yuan.
The solar concentrating photovoltaic power generation equipment base project invested by Sichuan Zhonghan Solar Power Co., Ltd. with a total investment of RMB 7.6 billion is currently the first concentrating photovoltaic industrial park in China and the largest concentrating photovoltaic power generation equipment manufacturing base in the world. According to reports, the project has a design and production scale of 2 million kilowatts, and the total output value will reach 20 billion yuan after being put into operation, and annual profits and taxes will be more than 3 billion yuan.
Tongwei Solar (Chengdu) Co., Ltd. invested 10 billion yuan to build a silicon wafer, solar cell, and module production line project. It plans to produce more than 2 GW of production capacity in 3 to 5 years. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed and put into operation in August next year.
The construction project of Sichuan Sangle Digital Solar Energy Co., Ltd. will be completed and put into production within 2 years, and the annual production value is expected to reach 1 billion yuan.
After these projects are put into production, they will form an industrialized technological innovation system integrating research and development, production and manufacturing in Shuangliu.
