Undervoltage: It means “not enough voltage”, that is, it only deliberately only supplies the device with a voltage lower than the rated voltage value, thus achieving some control purposes.

The micro air pump is a very important part of our equipment, and it is used in a large amount, so many characteristics of it are specially studied. More than a year ago, we procured several manufacturers' products for testing, and imported brands also purchased a lot, such as KNF, GAST, Thomas, etc., but the price is too expensive. Through the comprehensive evaluation of micro air pump quality, field investigation, research and development strength, etc., the VAA series of micro-vacuum pumps of Chengdu Xinchengcheng and the FAA series of micro-pumps were selected for further detailed testing.

We found that their micro vacuum pumps and micro air pumps can run under pressure under no-load conditions, but the situation is complicated after the load is loaded. For very small loads, such as a suction port, only a slightly longer tube is connected, and there is no problem with undervoltage start-up and operation. Later, we connected a flow regulating valve with a diameter of Φ8 at the pumping port of the pump to change the load of the pump by changing the degree of blockage of the pumping port.

The test found that the higher the load, the higher the starting voltage required by the pump, up to the rated value, and the low load can also be started under undervoltage conditions.

There are many advantages when the pump is under pressure, the noise is obviously reduced, and the life is obviously prolonged. The long-term test proves that the lower the voltage, the more obvious these two advantages. The disadvantage is that the flow pulsivity appears when the voltage is low to a certain extent, which can be monitored by the rotameter. In the three-month continuous operation around the clock, the performance of the pump was very stable and reliable, and no other drawbacks were found.

After understanding the performance of Chengdu Xinweicheng micro vacuum pump, we made a drastic improvement on the pump control circuit: hang the pump on our load, as long as the pump pulsation is acceptable, as long as the pump can start normally, we will Use as low a voltage as possible.

In our high-end products, we use more complicated control of the pump operation: let the pump start at the rated working voltage, after normal startup, the system will slowly reduce the voltage to our pre-set value, once the customer When the load becomes larger, the operating current of the pump is monitored to increase, and the control system immediately increases the operating voltage of the pump, giving it enough energy to drive a large load.

Under-pressure operation should pay attention to one point: in the case of hanging load, the pump must be able to start normally! Otherwise, the input electrical energy can not be converted into kinetic energy, but all converted into heat energy, so that the motor continues to heat up until it burns. Of course, different loads will have different starting voltages, and the minimum value of the starting voltage should be determined according to their own load conditions.
