Notes on the use of pesticides in mulberry gardens

Mulberry pests and diseases are an important reason for the reduction of mulberry leaves and the reduction of leaf quality. Although mulberry diseases and insect pests are treated year and year, due to natural climate effects, mulberry pests and diseases have not been effectively controlled, but have increased. The use of mulberry pesticides is one of the reasons for failure.
1. The method of operation overcomes one-sidedness. Many silkworm farmers think that the more squirting of the liquid sprayed during the treatment of insects, the larger the aperture spray, which causes the fog to be large. This method seems to improve the efficiency. In fact, it is counterproductive. This is because the fog is large. Pesticides are not easy to adhere to mulberry leaves or worms; on the other hand, the liquid stays in the air for a short period of time, reducing the chance of contact with the worms and mulberry leaves, thereby reducing the effect of medication. Some silkworm farmers often spray in the morning when the dew is not dry in the morning, which is equivalent to artificially reducing the concentration of the liquid; if it is sprayed on a sunny day, the liquid evaporates quickly and does not move well to the worm and mulberry leaves. Infiltration; if it rains after spraying, the liquid is washed away by rain, it basically does not have the effect of treating insects. Many silkworms and mulberry garden medicines are mixed with farmland medicines. When mulberry gardens are used to control insects, the medicines are not fully cleaned beforehand. The high concentration of pesticides left in the equipment contaminates mulberry leaves, which often causes poisoning of silkworms. There is also the mulberry pests on the back of the mulberry leaves, and many silkworm farmers often ignore the spraying on the back of the mulberry leaves, so the pest control effect is greatly reduced.
2. Overcoming singularity in drug selection. The screening of mulberry pesticides has over-emphasized the short period of residual poison and neglected the effective period, which hindered the development and application of mulberry pesticides and affected the control effect. Coupled with the evolution of pests and the increase of drug resistance and other reasons, the difference in mulberry pest development is generally large, overlapping generations, staggered parasitic, short residual period of the drug and long-term use of a single variety of agents, can not effectively prevent Pests in the egg and pupa stages, and are susceptible to drug resistance.
3. Overcome randomness in concentration ratio. In the investigation, it was found that most silkworm farmers did not have measuring tools when they were dispensing. The bottle caps were generally used for measurement, and the concentration was increased at random. The pests developed resistance and the control effect was poor. Only the concentration was increased, and a vicious circle was formed. There is also insufficient mixing or agitation during dispensing, resulting in excessive local concentration. Due to excessive concentration of the drug solution, mulberry leaf damage and silkworm poisoning may occur from time to time. At the same time, due to the non-standard concentration of the drug, the pest resistance is also increased. The medicinal properties increase the difficulty of prevention and treatment in the future.
4. Overcoming inconsistency in prevention time. The production of sericulture involves thousands of households. The time for controlling worms in mulberry gardens is difficult to be unified, which affects the control effect. A mulberry garden is contracted by many households, and the time for treating insects varies. During the period of prevention and control, there are some governance, some or even no cure. Some pre-treatment and some post-treatment phenomena; such pests in the mulberry gardens that first treat the worms will migrate to the sang gardens that are late or not treated, leading to cross-hazard and difficult to control the pests. In the process of pest control, some silkworm farmers also use pesticides according to the control period, which destroys the development progress of the pest population, so that the pests do not become the peak of hatching; others do not use the pesticide during the peak incubation period of the pests, and the hatching peak and the leaves for raising silkworms At the same time, it is impossible to use medicine, etc., and it is often found that when a large number of pests occur in the field, the pests are found to be treated, and at this time, the pests have escaped and are in a high age, and the control effect is deteriorated.
