The United States has a production capacity of 150,000 tons and an annual production capacity of more than 100,000 tons. There are individual state laws in the United States that require the use of degradable plastic products. Japan originally encouraged the use of petroleum-based products. Companies must indicate the proportion of biodegradable biomaterials on their products. The foundation of China's plastic bag industry has been formed. Yunnan, Hainan, Jiangsu and other places are also trying to promote degradable plastic bags. Zhejiang Haizheng Group has formed an annual production capacity of 15,000 tons. At present, COFCO's annual production of 30,000 tons of polylactic acid project has been completed in the Changchun Economic Development Zone (7.78, -0.70, -8.25%). The demand for plastic bags in Jilin Province alone has reached 30,000 tons, which shows that its potential is huge.
